Hello, I am Koihaku, or Koi for short! I am a self-taught artist, with a passion project called ✦Afterlife✦I have studied 3D Animation and 3D Modeling.

⭐️ Commission Rules ⭐️

  • Payment: It needs to be done through Ko-Fi or PayPal! If you choose Ko-Fi as your preferred site for commissioning me, do keep in mind that the payment will be done in full, and won't be split into two parts. If you prefer PayPal, the payment will be split in half; the first part will be handed out before I start working on the artwork. I will not start a commission until the first payment is sent. The second one needs to be sent before I send you the HQ files of the finalized product. Otherwise, you will not receive the final product.

  • Descriptions, references, and examples: Before I get started on a commission, you should describe the kind of artwork that you are looking for! Defining the poses, expressions, camera angles, and situation the character is in is crucial for my understanding of your vision! For me to also grasp the design of your preferred character, sending reference sheets, other drawings, or concepts, would be ideal. Last but not least, you may also provide examples of your idea through photography, similar-looking artworks, or even a sketch done by your hand! I will not be tracing these examples, but merely take inspiration from them.

  • Deadlines and updates: As soon as the client comes in contact with me, they will be informed of an estimated deadline. Depending on the complexity of the artwork, it might take longer, but the standard deadline is 3 weeks. Regarding updates, I will stay in contact with the client throughout the whole process. They will be sent pictures as progress is made, requesting feedback for any changes. If I were to take longer on their artwork, they would be appropriately informed of any changes to their commission.

  • Other: I have the right to refuse a commission, be it for personal reasons or otherwise! If the requested artwork falls under the 'will not draw' category shown underneath, then I will not proceed with the commission.

I will draw

  • Original Characters (OCs) and fandom characters.

  • Humans, skeletons, simple animals or furries (ask for confirmation on the species), demons, and humanoid creatures.

  • Light blood/wounds (scratches, stains).

  • SFW shipping (holding hands, blushing, hugging, etc!).

I will not draw

  • Complex backgrounds.

  • Mechas, designs with complex armor and/or accessories, heavily muscular people.

  • Heavy gore or NSFW/nudity.

  • Realism, such as the portrait of a person. Do take into consideration my art style when commissioning me!

When requesting a commission, you are agreeing to the following

✿ I have the right to post the requested commission on any of my social profiles; if requested by the client, they may publish the artwork themselves, only if I were to be properly credited.Proper credits include a link to any of my profiles, a mention/tag (@username), or use of my artist name, 'Koihaku'.✿ My artworks are strictly for personal use only. These include profile pictures, banners, or device wallpapers. In the case of stickers/emotes, you are allowed to freely use them in Discord servers or Twitch services; although, never claiming them as your own.As such, commercial use (reselling, redistributing, using as merchandise), is forbidden.✿ If I were to design a character for you, you would own the rights to said character/OC. However, you may not claim the artwork as your own.✿ The payment process will be split into two parts. Half of the payment will be handed to me after the request has been discussed and before I start. The other half will be sent before receiving the final product. Between these two payments, there will be communication between both ends as progress is made, and the client may request changes within a reasonable limit.✿ As for changes to the commission, you will be charged an additional fee every time a major change is requested (for example, asking for more elements when most has been structured, a change of outfit, environment or pose, or redoing part of the shading/final product once it's been finished). Do not be alarmed; you will be told whether your change will need an additional payment, and regular communication will be maintained to avoid misunderstandings or major changes!✿ When it comes to refunds, you will get all of your investment back only if the product has not been finished within the established deadline. If you are dissatisfied with the final result, I may edit parts of the artwork, but I will not refund nor redo most of the work once it's done.✿ Lastly, I do not give consent to use any of my artworks as AI prompts, or in any AI service of sorts.
